When a logistics service provider (LSP) submits a quote, the shipper is notified via email. This email contains a link redirecting them to the Cargobase platform, where they can view the quote details.
Both spot quotes and rate card quotes are displayed in a standardized format, allowing shippers to quickly review and compare options before making a booking decision.
Finding Submitted Quotes
Search for the shipment reference (e.g., S123456789) via the Universal Search, Sidebar, or the newly launched Dashboard View.
In the Dashboard View, look for “Quote Request” under the Open section.
Click on the “Open” option to view all Open Quotes.
On the shipment page, click the tab/button Quotes
→ 
.The Quotes page will display a side-by-side comparison of all submitted quotes.
Quotes Structure
Quotes are structured into 2 sections:
The Header (Fixed Section):
Total quoted amount.
Quoted pickup & delivery schedule.
Quote validity period.
Action buttons for accepting or rejecting the quote.
The Details (Expandable Section)
This section provides additional breakdowns, including:
Itemized charges.
Provider quote reference.
Other relevant information related to the quote.
To view the full quote details, click the quote or the down arrow (

Viewing Quote Details - Rates
The collapsed view shows:
Total quoted amount in the shipper’s preferred currency.
The time left (duration) until the quote expiry date.
Rate card icon (if applicable) and rate card title (e.g., LEMA | Gearbox).
If the quote is a spot rate submitted ad hoc by the logistics service provider, no specific icon shows. The rate card symbol will not show.
The expanded view shows:
Charge breakdown in two columns:
Quoted amount (currency selected by the LSP).
Converted amount in USD (default Cargobase currency).
Accessorial charges (listed separately under Not Included and not factored into the total).
Viewing Quote Details - Schedule
The collapsed view shows the quoted schedule in with the details below:
Pickup date & time (Mandatory).
Vessel/Aircraft departure date & time (Optional).
Vessel/Aircraft arrival date & time (Optional).
Delivery date & time (Mandatory).
Total transport lead time (in days).
Viewing Quote Details - Additional Information
The expanded view shows other informations based on the quote template and the data entered by the logistics service provider. Other informations may include, but are not limited to, the list below:
An open text field for additional comments by the logistics service provider.
The name of the port or airport of loading.
The name of the port or airport of discharge.
The vessel name or the flight number.
The answers to the service confirmation questions.
If any modifications are needed for the quote request, click on 'Edit Quote Request' to update the details and resubmit it.
