Shipments in Cargobase start their life as 'Quote requests', created by a Shipper or a BCO. The quote request are matched with the profile of LSPs within the shippers account. If a match is found, a specific team within the LSP is invited to quote. This article helps you find those quotes
In the main menu, click on Quote Requests to access the menu containing all the Quote Requests.
You will have visibility on all statuses of the Quote Request. Check what each status means via this article.
The data displayed in the dashboard can also be customized based on your preferences by clicking on the Filters
or Columns
button.
You can filter by e.g. Status, Team, Origin, Destination, Freight Mode
View Quote Requests information
Click on any Quote Request in the dashboard page to view the request details.
Within the chosen Quote Request, you will find two tabs available for viewing: Quotes & Shipment Details.
Quotes -> This section showcases the various quote options that have been submitted either by you or your team.
Details ->Brief overview of the requested information.
Shipment Details -> Includes all essential details provided by the Shipper that are required for preparing a quote.
Comments ->A dedicated space where you can communicate with the requester or your internal team.
About the Header
Created by: Shows the individual from the Shipper's team who initiated the request.
Confirmation time: This indicates the suggested deadline set by the Shipper for selecting a quote. However, they may also select a quote before or after the indicated time.
Quoting deadline: This indicates the deadline set by the Shipper to receive quotes for the shipment.
Pick Up & Delivery: Shows the location, date, and time chosen by the Shipper for both the pick-up and delivery of the shipment.
Shipment Details
This tab provides a detailed overview of all the specific information related to the shipment for which you are requested to provide a quote. This includes:
Organizational details → Contains General Shipper information.
Service → Provides information on Freight mode, Incoterms, Clearances and Special Requirements.
Schedule → Pickup and Delivery Information.
Packing list → Details on the cargo information.
Attachments → Documents uploaded by the Shipper pertaining to the shipment.
