What is the Traffic Light Feature?

The Traffic Light feature is a visual aid that helps shippers and providers quickly assess the competitiveness of quotations through color-coded signals.

Benefits of This Feature:

For Shippers: Shippers can anticipate receiving more competitive quotes from providers, as these providers can better understand their pricing against that of their competitors with the indication of the traffic light.

For Providers: This feature allows Providers to assess the competitiveness of their quote, enabling them to make necessary quick adjustments to the pricing and enhance the likelihood of being selected.

How the Traffic Light Works:

Before the Traffic Light system can function, the Shipper must establish a margin. This margin helps the Traffic Light assess whether the provider's quote is within, below, or above the average quotation costs received.

For example, if the Shipper sets at 10% margin:

Green:

Below Quoted Average  Lower Margin -

This shows Provider is offering a competitive rate, more than 10% lower than the average quotations received by Shipper.

Amber:

Within Quoted Average Margin

This means Provider is offering a competitive rate, within 10% of the average quotations received by Shipper.

Red:

Above Quoted Average Upper Margin

This indicates Provider is offering a rate, more than 10% higher than the average quotations received by Shipper.

The Traffic Light feature motivates Providers to optimize their pricing strategies, resulting in more competitive quotes. Simultaneously, it empowers Shippers to make quicker and more informed decisions. This creates a beneficial scenario for all parties involved!
