It is quite common for a Shipper to modify a Quote Request after it has been created. In such cases, the Provider is required to review the changes and re-validate any previously submitted quotes.
A Shipper may make changes to the Quote Request created e.g.:
- Updating the Quotation/ Confirmation deadline
- Modifying request details such as weight, dimensions of the package, or pickup/drop-off locations
- Updating attachments
How does it affect the Provider?
• Pending Revalidation: If a quote was submitted previously, the Provider might be asked to revalidate the quotation again to ensure it is valid for booking.
• Email Notifications: The system automatically notifies Providers about the update via email or in system notification.
• Dashboard Visibility: The update is displayed in the Provider's dashboard under the Recent Updates section, allowing for easy tracking of any changes made.
This process keeps Providers informed of any changes the Shipper makes in the Quote Request. Confirmation from the Provider is essential for the Shipper to proceed with the booking, thereby minimizing the risk of miscommunication and avoiding any unforeseen discrepancies in the booking process.
