Find requests, shipments, invoices, and more.
Cargobase is the central repository of all your live and historical logistics transactions. Finding the needle in the haystack is easy with the Universal Search and the Sidebar features.
Using Universal Search
The Universal Search is located on the top left of the screen, above the Sidebar. The Universal Search looks up any searchable reference numbers and provides direct access to the transactions found as a result of the search.
What is a searchable reference number?
A searchable reference number is a unique identification code that allows one to find a single transaction item. Here are the fields containing a reference number that can be searched via the Universal Search:
- Quick Request ID
- Request ID
- Shipment ID
- Invoice ID
- Shipment Title
- Cost Center
- Reason Code
- Custom Field
The last five searches and the last five visits are saved for quick access to repeated searches.
How to look up a reference number?
- Click the Universal Search field and enter the reference number you want to look up.
- If the reference number is not found, the message "No results found" will be displayed.
- If the reference number is found, the corresponding transactions will be listed.
- Click the item you want to view, and you will be brought to the corresponding page.
Using the Sidebar
The Sidebar is also known as the menu on the left side. The Sidebar contains icons to click for quick access to all list views and key features:
How to expand the sidebar for full titles?
The side menu bar can be expanded to view the full title of each section.- Go to the left side of the screen. The sidebar is collapsed by default.
- Click the icon '>' to expand and view the section titles.

What pages are accessed via the sidebar?
- Dashboard: a configurable overview of transactions by status with map and calendar views.
- Quick Requests: list views of Quick Requests by status with configurable columns and filters.
- Quote Request: list views of Quote Requests by status with configurable columns and filters.
- Shipments: list views of Shipments by status with configurable columns and filters.
- Invoices: list views of Invoices by status with configurable columns and filters.
- Analytics: aggregated data visualisation and report download of raw data in Excel format.
- Resolution center: list views of actions requested from the user (E.g. approval requests).
- + New Request: a button to get started and create a new request.
- Feedback: a form to share suggestions about the Cargobase product and its features.
- Settings: a page to view and adjust personal and admin configuration settings.
- Log out: a button to log out of Cargobase.
