How to update completed shipments in Cargobase?
Cargobase gives logistics providers the ability to update shipments with manual tracking. Once a shipment is completed, the provider ends the tracking by submitting a Proof of Delivery (POD) in Cargobase. Shipments updated with a POD are marked with the 'Delivered' status.
When submitting the POD, the provider updates the following information:
- The name of the receiver or the person who signed the document.
- The date and the time of receiving.
- The reason for the delay, if applicable.
The provider may also upload a copy of the POD as an image or document file.
The POD submission must be completed to be allowed to submit a freight invoice.
