Customize Personal Settings
- Click Settings on the sidebar.
- Update your settings and save the information.
Receive Notifications via SMS: Certain notification types, such as approval requests, allow notifications to be sent over SMS. To set this up, navigate to your personal settings and make sure you select the 'SMS notification' box.
Notifications
Cargobase sends email messages to alert users on platform activities. You can choose to only receive messages specifically for you or receive notifications on all shipments related to your team.

To locate your notification settings, click Settings and find Notifications.

Once changes are made according to your preferences, click Save changes.
Notification categories and options
Notifications are divided into three categories:
Request: notifications related to quick requests and quote request activity.
Shipment: notifications related to shipping, from booking until delivery.
Billing: notifications related to invoicing activity.
For each category, the notification options are:

Personal Notifications Only: Notifications for requests/ shipments created by you only.

Personal & Team Notifications: Notifications on requests/ shipments created by you and your team members.

Custom Settings: Users can identify their preferred notification options for each topic within the category.

Off: Turn off notifications. You will not receive the notifications in that category.
Subscribe to a request/ shipment to receive specific notifications
Sometimes, you might want to be notified about a specific shipment that was not created by you, but you do not want to update your notifications to 'Personal & Team.' Hence, you can do this by navigating the shipment and 'Enabling Notifications' for the request/ shipment.
Then, you will be included in all notifications on the requests/ shipments that you are subscribed in. Only Billing notifications are not included when subscribing as billing notifications are sent to specific users.
Why are some email notifications sent as individual messages and some grouped?
Some 'non-urgent' messages are grouped into what we call digest emails, and some notifications that usually require attention are sent in individual email message.
Sometimes, the platform shows information different from the e-mail I received.
Email notifications can be handy to alert you of changes or updates. However, you must be aware that an e-mail is only sent after an action takes place on the platform. Sometimes, between receiving the notification and reviewing the updates on the platform, other changes might have been made by other users. Therefore, we consider the platform as the single source of truth and e-mail notifications as a neat and handy bonus.
Receiving Push Notifications on my Smartphone:
If you have installed Cargobase - On The Go (available on (iOS/ Android), you can also receive updates on your smartphone. This is a great way to reduce the number of emails but still be alerted of changes to your shipments.
