Submitting a quote in Cargobase is easy and user friendly. This article talks about the steps you need to take when submitting a quote.
- Access the Quote Request you want to submit a quote for.
- Click on Submit on the upper right part of the screen.
You need to input information along five steps to submit the quote:
1. Service
- Select the Freight Mode you wish to quote. The options available depend on the Shipper's request. Please select only 1 freight mode for each quotation to be submitted.
- For NFO and Regular Air , the chargeable weight field is mandatory.
- For Road Freight , the road freight type is mandatory.
2. Costs
In this section, you will need to add the cost items related to the request. Here, you can select various items for each cost item:
- Measurement unit
- Unit Cost
- Quantity
- Applies to
- Currency
You can also add rows for a more detailed breakdown of the Freight or Other charges section via the Add Charge button. Take note that the measurement units may differ based on the freight modes selected for quoting.
You may also add any non-inclusive costs in the 'Not Included' field.
3. Schedule
You are required to provide a tentative schedule to handle the shipment. This includes:
- Pick up date and time
- Delivery date and time
Depending on the freight mode, you have the option to add detailed information such as flights schedules, vessel information. If the information is not available yet, you may click the 'X' button to remove.
Quote validity
In the last part of the schedule, you are required to add the expiration date and time of your quote.
A warning message may appear if you enter a date and timer that ends earlier than the Shipper's requested pickup, delivery or booking confirmation time. You may still proceed even so, as this serves only as a warning but does not prevent you from moving on to the next section.
4. Miscellaneous
Sometimes, you may be asked to re-confirm the services required by the Shipper in this section.
Under the Additional Information, you may add a quote title and comments regarding your quote. If you want to add attachments, you can do so by clicking the 'Add attachment' button.
5. Confirmation
Finally, you may review the summary of the quotation you are submitting.
If you wish to amend anything, you may click on any of the previous sections and edit.
When you are certain of your quote, click the 'Submit' on the lower right of the screen and your quotation will be submitted successfully.
Where can I view my submitted quotations?
You may view your submitted quotation via the 'Pending' status of the quote request list.
Select a quotation that was submitted to view the details. If the quoting deadline is still open, You may continue to submit more quotations for the Shipper to consider.
