How to Cancel a Shipment and Re-Book

If you need to switch to a different provider after scheduling a shipment, you can easily cancel the current shipment and rebook.

There are times when a shipment has already been awarded or booked, but later becomes unnecessary or needs to be assigned to a different provider. Don’t worry — you can cancel the shipment and rebook with another provider in just a few steps.

Note: This action will only be visible if the shipment has been booked.

  5. Once the booking is canceled, the system will duplicate the request right away creating a new ID.
  6. You will be able to book on the new quotations after the providers have submitted new quotations.

Please be aware that if you are directed to the Quote Request draft page instead of having the request generated immediately, this may occur for several reasons, such as:

  • The deadline for submitting quotes for the initial request has passed.
  • Only one provider was invited to submit a quote in the initial request.

When you cancel and rebook a shipment, your provider might still charge you for the full shipment or at least a cancellation fee for the shipment you cancelled. Make sure you and your provider have clear agreements on how to handle these cancellations.
