Before we dive in, here are 2 important user types that we want to distinguish: Shippers and Providers.
Shipper: A person or company with an item to ship. E.g. an automotive supplier with a pallet of air bags.
Provider: A logistics services company contracted to perform a shipping movement. This can be a freight forwarder or a carrier directly.
